This beautifully textured wood comes in a variety of formations, from thick trunk-like pieces to slender rooty branches, each with unique shapes and styles that create a strikingly aged look. Kannabi Wood’s pitted and gnarled surface provides ample areas for fish and shrimp to hide in, making it a great refuge for nervous species. Additionally, some pleco species will enjoy rasping on the wood surface. However, as Kannabi Wood is a natural product, it can release tannins into the water. This can be prevented by soaking the wood prior to placing it in the aquarium, using Seachem Purigen in your filter or by doing routine water changes over time. While many pieces can be used on their own as a centrepiece, combining two or more pieces creates larger, more impressive aquascapes.
