Rotala green is very similar to the Rotala rotundifolia, but its leaves remain bright green even under intense light. Rotala has 15-30 cm long stems (2-3 cm wide) and long narrow leaves. Unlike other Rotala species it is relatively undemanding, although it needs good light to produce red leaves. often trimmed to allow light to reach the low parts of the leaves
